Barend's Idylic Retreat
In Mogan Mountain, Zhejiang, a restaurant by the name of Kikaboni (meaning Organic in Kiswahili) has been opened not long ago. Invited by the owner Naked Group, chef Barend Greyling is in charge of food designing at the luxury resort that caters to peole seeking respite from the urban buzz of nearby Shanghai and other cities. Born in South Africa, Barend has lived a dream on Mogan Mountain for several years. He cooks, creates, tends his herb garden, runs in the forest, and learns from the locals. Inspired by his surroundings and his birthplace, Barend is a true fusion food artist.
