Sriracha hot sauce has become a hot item in America since Huy Fong Foods started making it in Los Angeles in 1980. 

The founder of Huy Fong Foods, David Tran, is a Vietnamese refugee who left his hometown in 1978. The company he built is now a leading brand in the Asian hot sauce market globally.
