There is a saying in China, "a teacher for one day, a father for life", which describes the intimate bond and mutual respect between teachers and their students.

Professor Ramata Sissoko Cissé, an assistant professor of biology at Georgia Gwinnett College in the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville, sets a true example of this. According to a CNN report, she held a student's baby for three hours while giving a lecture, so the student could focus on learning.
Cissé told CNN that the student called her the night before and asked if she could bring her baby son to class as the babysitter was sick. She gave the mother the green light.
During the lecture however, the baby couldn't stop moving and the mother couldn't focus and take notes. So Cissé found a white lab coat and strapped the baby on her back. She even went a step further to incorporate the baby in her class, explaining how the baby falls fast asleep due to matching temperature between their bodies.
Cissé wanted her students to carry on the spirit of love and care when they go on to become doctors and nurses.
A spokeswoman for Georgia Gwinnett College told CNN that the child's mother asked to not be identified. However the mother thanked Cissé after the lecture in an email.
