The rare black aye-aye named Melisandre at the Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina. A rare black aye-aye was born last month at the Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina. The aye-aye is an endangered long-fingered lemur native to Madagascar. It has rodent-like teeth that perpetually grow, and a distinctive thin middle finger.
