It tells the story of an ordinary Macao family from 1999 to 2019, three generations of whom have been working hard to make a living through a pancake business as well as to realize their own value.

Through the depiction of the Leung family, a panorama of the Macao society unfolds. The TV series also marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China.

A number of actors including Simon Yam, Dong Jie, Ke Lan and Jiang Shan star in the series. Instead of following the stereotypical format of the traditional family drama, the show has also adopted some comic elements, taking it closer to reality and the audience.
