Hailuogou Becomes 1st National 5A Scenic Spot in Ganzi of Sichuan

Hailuogou was listed as a national 5A scenic spot last month. It is the first spot that has this honor in Ganzi of Sichuan. 

Hailuogou is located in Moxi town, Luding County of Ganzi. It is part of Minya Konka, a national level scenic spot and natural reserve. It has top level glacier forest parks, geoparks and ecology demonstration zones. Famous sceneries including Jinshan in Sunrise, Wolf Image geo-scenery, Red Roch Beach, Dabing Waterfall, Shentang Hot Spring, Yajia Sea, the ancient forest, Cloud Sea in Sunrise and Rainbow in Buddhism Light are the Big Nine Sceneries in Hailougou.It aims to build itself into an international hilly area leisure and vocation destination, while Ganzi's goal is to become Heaven for Outdoor Leisure in the East.

In recent years, Hailuogou has made efforts on poverty prevention via tourism. It was also listed as one of the ten scenic spots which upgrade bathroom service in 2016. In Hailuogou, five projects have achieved fruitful results. They range from bathroom service upgrading and trash banks to the commitment of volunteer teams, market inspection teams and a market management system.

Tan Zhiquan, Head of Hailuogou Managing Bureau, says that becoming a 5A national scenic spot is just a beginning. In the future, they will make efforts to be listed as a World Natural Heritage and build the spot into an international hilly area leisure and vocation desitination.
