If you think a flight ticket guarantees that you'll get on a flight, what happened on a United Airlines flight recently might come as a bit of surprise.

A 69-year old doctor, who paid for his ticket, was informed that he had to accept a "recommendation" offered by the airline. The flight was fully seated, and four additional United Airline personnel needed to board the same plane, so the airline required four passengers to make room for the personnel.

The doctor refused the rescheduling offer because he said he had an appointment with a patient the next day, so he could not arrive there late. He was subsequently dragged off the flight by security personnel.

Other passengers were shocked and some of them filmed the treatment of the 69-year old doctor. Many posted on social media.

These videos triggered hot debate, anger and discontent worldwide.

Currently, the doctor is in hospital where he remains for observation. When a reporter asked him anything hurts, he simply replied "everything".

Listen to the show and find out more about this chaotic flight.

The audio clip is from Round Table, produced by CRI.
