Azaleas at Mount Emei in Summer

The month of May at Mount Emei is full of red azaleas. They cover an area of 180,000 mu. Together with tulips, lilies, and lavenders, azaleas make a beautiful picture in early summer at the Mount Emei International Travel Resort, nearby the Huangwan town.

Every March to August, azaleas boom at Mount Emei to welcome worldwide tourists. At the transition of spring and summer, from Baoguo Temple with an altitude of 500 meters to Wangfoding scenic spot with an altitude of 3090 meters, more than 30 kinds of azaleas boom, covering areas including Xixiang Pool, Shuangshui Well, Leidong Area, Jieyin Temple and Jinding Sheshen Cliff.

Walking around Qingyin Pavilion and Wannian Temple, tourists could enjoy various kinds of azaleas. Besides, dove flowers grow in the areas of Wannian Temple, Daping, Jiulao Cave, Yuxian Temple, Jiuling Ridge, Xixiang Poll and Gongmen Mountain. The dove flowers are like white pigeons flying in mountains.

After years of building, a flower zone of 5.6 million mu is almost completed. When it rains, the sky is very blue with beautiful clouds. The cloud, the Sun and the Moon sometimes come out together.
