Danba County in Sichuan Invests Nearly 100 million yuan on Jiaju Tibetan Scenic Spot

This year, Danba County in Sichuan invests nearly 100 million yuan to upgrade Jiaju Tibetan scenic spot for its capacity of providing service. 

In recent three years, Jiaju has received an increasing number of tourists every year. However, problems have emerged as well, including low capacity and low degree of recognition. 

In September 2016, Sichuan Tourism Assessment Committee listed Jiaju as a national 4A scenic spot. At that time, Danba county invested 120 million yuan on Jiaju, upgrading its service center, parking area, toilets and other infrastructure. 

This year, nearly 100 million investments will be used in building the camping area and roads. Fifty million yuan will be used in the construction of Danba Tourism Square and 5.9 million yuan will be used for the construction of Dongnv Jiarong Culture Experiencing Pavilion. Danba County will also step up its comprehensive tourism development, making tourism helpful for low-income groups to reduce poverty.
