Companies making baby related products have been cashing in thanks to the current two-child policy that has seen the country experience a baby boom, following the lift of the previous longstanding one child rule in the country.

For Chinese manufacturer Junlebao dairy company LTD, the largest dairy enterprise in China's Hebei province, the current policy has indeed lifted sales and boosted profits in the last two years.

"The market has grown fast and our market share has expanded by almost 30%," says Qiu Weinong, the General Manager of the Junlebao Brand and Marketing Centre.

In 2015 China announced that it would officially lift its longstanding one-child policy, a move that saw the number of newborns rise to 18 million children in 2016 up by 7.9 %.

So for companies like Junlebao, fourth on the Chinese market positioning grid, increased profits and big demands for baby formula at home has in turn stimulated the company's desire to take big steps and expand its reach beyond the Chinese mainland.

"This is very important to us because we are the first company from the Chinese mainland to sell baby formula in Hongkong. It wasn't an easy process because we had to go through various tests to pass the standard required in Hongkong," said Qiu Weinong.

Speaking to reporters during a tour of the company's plant in Shijiazhuang, Qiu also said that he hoped business would continue to see a steady but substantial growth as it aims to develop it's brand beyond China.

Junlebao was one of the companies the press visited on Tuesday as part of the 2017 Hebei media tour that aims at underlining key developmental projects of Hebei province to its audience both at home and abroad.

Reporters were also taken on a tour on another pride of the city; Shijiazhuang Kelin Electric company. On Wednesday they move on to explore the city of Cangzhou.
