Experts Call for Increased National Efforts to Better Protect Children's Wellbeing

More than sixty thousand barefoot Social Workers have committed themselves to protecting children from disadvantaged families in remote rural areas in China since 2010. Still, millions of children are trapped in poverty with far less satisfying living conditions all across China. This has prompted calls from experts and government officials alike for increased national efforts to guarantee the rights and interests of the vulnerable children.
