As a mega metropolis, Beijing is known as the origin and home of Chinas contemporary art scene. In fact in the past decade, the country’s art scene has exploded with mega cities like Beijing seeing an influx in Galleries, exhibitions as well as art openings.

Continuously asserting its position as an International Art Capital, it’s no wonder Beijing has been grabbing the attention of an increasing number of international collectors, curators, gallerists, and other members of the art industry. In this episode of My China Story, Nillah Nyakoa speaks with 3 visiting artists Clemens Denk; a musician and poet from Austria, Elisa Liu from Singapore who has been collaborating with her partner Brant Koh to create some extraordinary works that combine classic and contemporary art. And finally Puerto Rican Javier Bosques, whose works seek to introduce a visual language in pursuit of signifiers that best represent the plurality and subjective nature of experiences.
