A new survey suggests small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK are increasingly looking to China for opportunities.

Ahead of the impending Brexit, 36 percent of SME's surveyed suggested the prospect of trading with the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong has become more attractive.

The survey of one-thousand small companies, conducted by the Hong Kong Trade and Investment Council, also shows that around 45 percent of those asked say they see Hong Kong as a gateway to the Chinese mainland, as well as other countries in Asia.

For more on this, CRI's Paul James spoke earlier with John Ross, Senior Fellow with Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University.
