Boeing 747s to be auctioned on Chinese e-commerce platform

3 Boeing 747-400 Freighters are to be auctioned on Taobao, the shopping platform of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba.

This is the first time Boeing cargo aircraft have been subject of a Taobao judicial auction, which will open on November 20.

The starting price for the freight planes will range from 123 million to 135 million yuan, or 18 million to 20 million U.S. dollars each.

The 3 freighters have been put up for auction offline 6 times since 2015, but failed to find buyers.
