Vaccine producer ordered to recall products for serious violations

A vaccine producer in Jilin Province has stopped production and been forced to launch recalls due to legal issues. 

The Changchun Changsheng Bio-tech Co. has been accused of serious irregularities, including fabricating production records in the manufacturing of a rabies vaccines for human use, during an unannounced inspection by China's top drug regulator.

The State Drug Administration has removed the production license for the company.

Further investigation shows that no products involved in the inspection were on sale, and all have been confiscated.

Jilin Provincial Drug Administration is probing the case.

The Changchun Changsheng Bio-tech Co has since issued an apology and pledged to strictly follow the orders of the drug regulators and take effective measures to ensure the quality of the products.
