Huawei's new nova3 its 100-millionth phone of 2018

Huawei has delivered 100 million smartphones this year with the release of its Nova3 on Wednesday. 

Huawei Consumer BG CEO Yu Chengdong said at the release that they are on course to reach their goal of rolling out 200 million phones in 2018.

If that happens, Huawei will further close the gap on Apple, which, according to public data, is the world's second best-selling smartphone brand with 215 million phones sold last year. Huawei is third, having sold 153 million in 2017. 

Figures released by Huawei show sales of its smartphones have expanded 51 times over the past 7 years.
