A number of business experts at the WEF Tianjin talked about the new US tariffs on China, and "benefit" is one of their most frequent comments.

Jiantao Zhang, vice president for Greater China, Korea and Mongolia at Coca-Cola, said it is painful to see China-US trade disputes. "We are actually benefiting from the opening up over the past 40 years. We participated, we witnessed everything, and we are a big contributor."

And Zhang said that Coca-Cola would continue to play a leading role in "making sure business continues and stabilizes."

Simon Galpin, managing director for the Bahrain Economic Development Board, also told CGTN that his country has been benefiting from free trade with the rest of world, and welcomed Chinese companies to set up factories in Bahrain.

In addition, Yuan Ding, vice president and dean of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), advised Chinese authorities to work carefully in "dealing with Europe and Japan." That way, China would not have to deal with "too many problems with [those] regions."

"We really need to win over the Europe and Japan, and try to promote some concrete measures in order to promote the responsibility needed for the access to the Chinese market and investment," the dean noted.
