Huawei and Moscow tech fund to partner on innovation center

Huawei and the Russian tech fund SKOLKOVO signed a partnership agreement on Tuesday that will see the establishment of a new tech innovation center.

The agreement signing was part of this week's international "Open Innovations" forum in Moscow. The agreement was signed by Lu Rui, the director of the Huawei's Russian research center, and Konstantin Parshin, the vice-president at the SKOLKOVO Foundation.

Work at the innovation center will mainly be focused on the development of 5G network technology. The center will also undertake research into artificial intelligence, applied information technology, and applications of the Internet of Things.
