Meituan-Dianping ousts Apple as most innovative firm

Meituan-Dianping tops the list of the 2019 Most Innovative Companies in the world.

The list is chosen by the US business media outlet Fast Company.

Meituan was recognized for the ways that hundreds of millions of consumers buy food, book hotels and a lot more.

Chinese tech giant Alibaba grabbed the No. 15 spot among the 50 winners, sought out from businesses across 35 industries.

Former champion Apple is ranked 17th on the list.

During the first half of last year, Meituan-Dianping facilitated 27 billion transactions for more than 350 million people in more than 2-thosuand cities.
