Schneider says the new Foreign Investment Law will benefit his company and the sector as well.
"As I said, we've been fully committed to China before. I believe indirectly, that law will benefit us, because it'll bring new fresh investment into the country. It will bolster the mid to long term prospects of the market, and hence, we'll benefiting from that in our sector too," says Schneider.
Schneider made the remarks during the China Development Forum underway in Beijing.
He says his company has always enjoyed a good environment in its dealings in the country's food and beverage industry.
"Well, we are staying focused on food and beverage. And in that sector we've always found a very hospitable environment in China. On a general level, of course, we do create the fact that China is opening up but for us the environment has been very positive already," says Schneider.
Nestle completed the acquisition of the Starbucks packaged coffee business last year.
