Didi/BYD promoting new self-driving car in Suzhou

A new self-driving vehicle, produced jointly by BYD and Didi Chuxing, is one of the highlights at the Global AI Product Application Expo in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

The vehicle has been developed and adapted from a "Qin" sedan model that BYD has already produced.

It's equipped with six cameras and a 3D radar system which controls the automatic driving system.

Didi, one of the world's largest ride-hailing platforms, has been working to become the first company in China to launch a driverless taxi. The company acquired its self-driving road testing license last year.
