Visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for more technology and innovation cooperation between China and Israel while meeting with founder and CEO of Chinese Internet giant Baidu Robin Li on Tuesday.

Netanyahu said China is an important market for Israel, as his country is making new products and needs a new market.

On the other hand, Netanyahu hoped China can benefit from Israeli technology innovation.

Robin Li echoed that China's large Internet population and Israel's advanced technology can make a business miracle. Not only Baidu, but also many other Chinese companies are willing to cooperate with Israel, said Li.

Companies from the two countries have signed a series of cooperation agreements on medical care and technology innovation during Netanyahu's visit to China.

He also met with some other Chinese business leaders, such as Chairman of Wanda Group Wang Jianlin, founder of Alibaba Ma Yun, Chairman of Wahaha Group Zong Qinghou and Chairman of Lenovo Group Liu Chuanzhi.

The Israeli prime minister is on an official visit to China from March 19 to 22 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang.
