Deep in the mountains in southeast China's Fujian province, villagers are busy picking fresh tea leaves and drying them in the open air.

The leaves will then be sent to factories for further processing before reaching the market next month.

Xiadang village has been promoting tea-growing in recent years, as a way to life people out of poverty.
