A rapid rescue: security officer saves elderly woman on escalator

An elderly woman stumbled and fell backwards on an escalator in a museum in the city of Bengbu in east China’s Anhui Province. 

A security officer nearby rushed to the scene, and was able to hold the elderly woman up in just seven seconds, acting as a human shield between the elderly woman and the escalator. 

The security officer supported the woman on the moving escalator until it was quickly shut down by a technician.
