The Dawei prototype made its global debut on the banks of Huangpu River last year on Sept. 15, after more than half a year of research and development. Dawei’s pattern of red flames and Taotie (one of four evil fiends in Chinese mythology) is set off by a solemn black background. The mix of red and black embodies the vigor of China and the mysterious nature of the Orient. The robot's powerful structure gives a high-tech feel that can typically be found only in science fiction.
