An Essex hospital welcomed 20 GPs from China as part of a health tour of Essex.

The group spent time at Braintree Community Hospital and, after the success of this visit, another team will visit in July, the Chelmsford Weekly News reported.

Professor Chris Green, chairman of Friends of Braintree Community Hospital, said: "A group of 20 Chinese GPs visited Essex this month and included in their study tour was a visit to Braintree Community Hospital.

"It was a very successful visit, we had a couple of interpreters who helped.

"They had a full tour of the hospital preceded by introductions to its work by Penny Pickman, operational manager and myself.

"They spent about two or three hours here which included looking at operating theatres.

"As a result of this visit we will welcome another group in July."

With another visit in July you can look forward to hearing more about this on Spectrum SINO.
