Xie Renci now studies laws at a university in southwest China’s Chongqing. She said: “I’m 20 years old. I want to be any other 20 year olds putting on skirts and not covering their legs in summers.”

She often goes to the gym in her spare time to keep fit.

Xie lost her right leg at the age of 4 in a car accident.

Xie Renci prefers high-waist skirts because she can look taller.

She often shares her story and photos on social network. She said she wanted to widen people’s awareness of the disabled community. She also wants to make a documentary of herself to tell children that there is no difference between people with disabilities and others.
