12 killed in car explosion in Hebei

Twelve people were killed when a car exploded in north China's Hebei Province on Tuesday, reported ChinaNews.

Eight trucks and one passenger coach were damaged in the incident.

The incident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday when a car exploded in No.5 tunnel on the Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang highway.

Experts and police have been dispatched to the scene, and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
