A group of foreign observers, who have been closely following the ongoing 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, are suggesting under the leadership of the CPC, China is thriving on the right development path and playing an increasingly constructive role in the world.

CRI's Victor Ning has the details.

Former Thai Deputy Prime Minister Phinij Jarusombat now heads the Thai-Chinese Cultural & Relationship Council.

He says the socialist path with Chinese characteristics has brought substantial benefits to the Chinese people and a brand new look to the Chinese nation.

"The 19th CPC National Congress is quite significant for China's reform and opening up, as well as its modernization drive. Over the past five years, some 60 million people have been lifted out of poverty with the help of the CPC. The socialist path with Chinese characteristics has brought remarkable benefits to the people, improving their livelihood. China has undergone dramatic changes, exerting a positive impact on the world. "

Adnan Samara, head of the Palestinian-Chinese Friendship Association, says he closely follows the news on China and is getting to know China's development on all fronts.

When asked about his thoughts on China's development path, Samara says the vitality and prosperity China now displays is the best proof that its growth strategy is effective.

"If this question was raised decades ago, I probably couldn't come up with an answer. But if you know how China got started and has developed over the years, this question can be answered easily. I think I'm a witness to the development of China. I went to China in 1976, seeing what it was at that time. Since then, I've seen the tremendous progress China has made every time I visit the country. The development path the CPC has chosen is suitable and right."

U Hein Lat, a senior media professional from Myanmar is also speaking highly of the CPC's leading role and the development path it has chosen for China.

"The Communist Party of China has formulated clear policies. This is what a successful party does. The CPC leads China forward, playing an irreplaceable role. A country needs a party that can adopt right policies and paths, so as to push forward its development. I believe China will achieve more success under the leadership of the CPC."

U Hein Lat also says under the CPC's leadership, the overall national strength of China has improved drastically and China now is able to tackle difficult problems in global affairs, creating more influences in the international arena.

For CRI, I'm Victor Ning.
