It’s estimated that over 20 years, a Xi’an restaurant owner has hand-pulled noodles stretching 23,000 km, that’s half the length of the equator, reports Chinanews.com.

Shop owner, Lan Jianbo, gets up at five every morning to knead the dough and prepare for pulling the noodles.

Each minute, Lan can pull a 20-meter long noodle, with each served whole in a bowl as one serving.

His noodle-pulling show often attracts customers and passers-by to watch.

“To ensure every bowl of noodles tastes great, we only sell about only 160 bowls per day,” said Lan Jianbo, “Every bowl of noodles must be perfect.”

Lan says he inherited the noodle-pulling skill from his mother and he plans to pass it down to his son, Lan Jiacheng.

The eatery has gained a large number of loyal fans, and even though Lan’s shop has moved several times, his loyal foodies always seek him out.
