27-year-old Cui Yunhe began the journey from his home province on July 21, 2017. Four months later on November 17, 2017, he arrived at Tibet, with 815 kilometers left, or up to 40 days, until he reaches his final destination of the Potala Palace in Lhasa.

Cui says the journey over the past four months has been difficult. On the tenth day on the road, Cui Yunhe felt sharp pains on his feet. In addition, the weather was too hot.

When he was climbing a mountain at a height of 4,623 meters, he had to have a knife in his hand to protect himself from potential wolf attacks. Only when he saw the light, he would allow himself to dive into sound sleep.

On the 101st day of his journey, Cui Yunhe walked into Tibet. The heavy snow soaked his feet, and the mountain road provided nowhere for a rest.

On the 105th day, the low temperature had the rice frozen and made it hard to swallow. But without food, he couldn't overcome the mountain.

Cui Yunhe ate the cheapest food and slept on the street. The hardest part of the journey, covering 50 kilometers, took him 12 hours non-stop to finish.

He thought about quitting when he learnt that his son was ill at home. But his wife encouraged him to finish the journey, and he kept going.

Cui has worn out three pair of shoes during the journey. From Suning in Hebei province to Tibet, Cui has kept going to cover the 5,000 kilometers to realize his dream.
