The newlyweds, wearing their wedding outfits, boarded the train with their friends and families in Quanzhou, the bride's hometown, enroute to Guangxi's capital, Nanning, the groom's hometown.

Staff onboard the train helped accommodate the wedding party, offering free tea and a fruit platter for the couple. The train's conductor also put out an announcement over the train-wide intercom.

Bridesmaids distributed wedding candies to passengers on their car.

"The bullet train is the most luxurious limousine we could think of. It is not only low-carbon and environment-friendly, but also safe, comfortable and economical," said the bride.

An increasing number of young couples in China have reportedly begun exploring greener transportation options for their wedding. Shared bikes, buses and subways are reportedly seeing more wedding parties, according to Chinese media.
