New unmanned SkyRail service unveiled in NW China
Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD has unveiled its new unmanned monorail, SkyRail, in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on Wednesday, January 10.
The unmanned train system will be officially put into operation in the second quarter of 2018.

SkyRail runs automatically. It also contains a self-contained automatic diagnosis system, real-time passenger flow detection and facial recognition systems.

In addition, it can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius.
SkyRail is a 5-year project developed by BYD at a cost of 5 billion yuan.
