World's first autonomous container truck debuts in Zhuhai

What's said to be the world's first autonomous container truck underwent its first test in Zhuhai Port on Tuesday.

The truck monitors the surrounding environment and can hit the assigned location precisely. 

It can hit its mark within 2 centimeters.

Estimates suggest the new automated truck can cut labor costs in half at a medium-sized port.

The truck was developed by Westwell Lab in Shanghai.
