Bridge over railway completes rotation construction in Guangdong

The rotation construction of two sections of a giant super-tonnage bridge on the Shantou-Kunshan highway in China's Guangdong Province has been completed on Friday morning.

The two sections of the bridge also span across the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway.

The sections, situated on the two sides of the high-speed railway, were simultaneously rotated over the high-speed railway. The whole process took just 70 minutes.

This was China's first attempt at rotation construction for two sections of a bridge at the same time over a high-speed railway.
