Sports scholarship consultant FirstPoint USA has held a US college soccer draft in Shanghai, Chinanews.com reported.

The draft was aimed at discovering young Chinese athletes between the ages of 17 to 25 and helping them apply for study and competition chances in the United States.

The program will offer opportunities for Chinese athletes to continue playing their sport while they study for a university degree in the United States.

The event provided program presentations and soccer trials for the young attendees.
