Contracted to China State Construction, the "crystal corridor" at Chongqing Raffles City has recently seen its first truss elevated. It will be joined together with two other trusses that are scheduled to be elevated between May and June this year.

The "crystal corridor" stretches 300 meters and has a height of 250 meters – creating two world records in one take.

Once completed, the curve-shaped corridor will provide a 270 degree view and will feature a 50-meter infinity swimming pool.

The corridor will span four tower blocks. It weighs 40,000 tonnes including 12,000 tonnes of steel.

Located at Chongqing's busiest port area, the structure is expected to become a new landmark of the municipality.
