Highlights: China's world records over the past five years

According to a government work report delivered by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the opening meeting of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress, China has witnessed various achievements over the past five years:

(1) GDP has reached 82.7 trillion yuan, representing an increase of 7.1% over the previous year

(2) A total of 66 million new urban jobs were added over the course of the year.

(3) The basic healthcare insurance system covers 1.35 billion people.

(4) Impoverished population has dropped by over 68 million.

(5) Days of heavy air pollution in major cities slashed by half

(6) The target of cutting 300,000 troops has been basically completed

(7) High-speed rail network, E-commerce, mobile payment and the sharing economy are leading the world.
