Many foreign netizens have taken to Twitter to praise China's achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), following an article about the topic on bloomberg.com.

The article "Who's Leading AI Isn't the Intelligent Question" points out that China made huge investments into basic AI research, and that it is a world leader when it comes to the number of AI patents.

The Bloomberg story points to tech giant Tencent as an example of a company that has incorporated AI technology into the products that it offers customers. Tencent is the developer of the popular social media and payment app WeChat.

Twitter users Kyle Ellicott‏ (@kyleellicott) and Iain Brown,PhD ‏(@IainLJBrown) highlight the achievements China has made on facial recognition and video surveillance, while Carlos Moedas (@Moedas) tweeted that China is becoming an important player in the global race to develop new AI technology.

The development of high-speed rail and autonomous delivery robots in China have also been the subject of praise by netizens from around the world, with both topics becoming popular talking points on social media including Twitter and Facebook.
