Enterprises in China have brought more high tech products and high value-added products to the China Import and Export Fair, reports Chinanews.com.

China's enterprises will try to create a multi-functional market by upgrading their product structure, according to Xu Bing, deputy director at China's Foreign Trade Center. He says they are ready to face the challenges brought about by the trade disputes between China and the United States.

Over 10,000 US buyers take part in the fair every year. The United States has consistently been the second-largest source of buyers.

The biannual fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is considered a barometer of China's foreign trade. Total trade volumes have reached $1.2 trillion U.S. dollars in its 61-year history.

This year's fair has a focus on the protection of intellectual property rights.
