In a bid to regulate traffic and reduce accidents, traffic authorities in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen have introduced new cameras linked to facial recognition software to crack down on dangerous delivery drivers and jaywalkers, reports sznews.com.

The 40 new cameras are also able to identify drivers who use emergency or bus lanes to skirt traffic, as well as drivers who try to park illegally.
Violators face fines ranging from 5 to 100 yuan, depending on the infraction.
Shenzhen traffic police are warning that anyone caught without a proper license will likely be put into detention.
Authorities say the new cameras were able to identify 63 delivery drivers who blew through red lights on the first day alone.
Shenzhen is one of a number of cities in China which have taken steps to try to crack down on drivers and pedestrians who flaunt the rules, as they are one of the leading causes of traffic delays in most of China's major cities.
