Pixar Toy Story Land opens at Shanghai Disney Resort

Pixar Toy Story Land, the seventh theme park at the Shanghai Disney Resort, opened to visitors on Thursday afternoon, April 26, 2018, reports thepaper.cn.

Inspired and based on the animation "Toy Story," the Pixar Toy Story Land includes three brand-new scenes, namely Slinky Dog Spin, Rex's Racer and Woody's Roundup. An area called Meeting Post has been created for meeting with Disney friends; Toy Box Café serves refreshments, while Al's Toy Barn sells toys and souvenirs.

Robert Allen Iger, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, attended the opening ceremony Thursday morning. Animated characters in "Toy Story," including Woody and Buzz Lightyear, were all on hand to celebrate the special moment.

Iger said that he hoped the new theme park would bring more exciting experiences to visitors from China and elsewhere.
