A 59-year-old man, along with his team from the city of Huzhou, have completed 5,855-km-long ride on bike from Shanghai to Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, in 74 days, reports Huzhoufabu, a news app of the Huzhou municipal government.

Zhu Honglin and his team departed from a starting point on the No. 318 national highway in Shanghai on March 30, 2018. The group took the 318 national highway through into Tibet.  Enduring large temperature swings, a lack of oxygen and altitude stress, the group eventually arrived at Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, on June 11, 2018.

Zhu Honglin says the trip has realized his dream. "The trip made me healthy and happy, which are the most important things for me now," said Zhu.

He is now planning his next dream: cycling around China.
