China's Embassy in Indonesia has taken a series of measures to help meet the needs of Chinese citizens attending the upcoming Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang in Indonesia.

The 18th Asian Games will be held in Indonesia's capital Jakarta, and the city of Palembang in South Sumatra, between August 18 and September 2.

The measures include opening a contact point for consular protection at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Wednesday. A hotline to request consular protection during the Asian Games has also been set up by the embassy. And the Consulate-General of China in Medan will establish a temporary office in Palembang.
