Two shootings in eastern China

Police in Shanggao County, Jiangxi Province, are now in a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly killed an unspecified number of people with a gun at two separate locations on Monday morning.

The suspect, identified as Kuang Yulin, is accused of committing the two shootings at a construction materials market and a driving school, then fleeing from the crime scene on a motorbike.

The police are asking locals in Shanggao County to provide information on the whereabouts of the suspect.

Shootings are extremely rare in China, as private gun ownership is extremely restricted.
