The court was originally named Ningbo mobile micro court and it went online last October to provide services for Ningbo citizens. After 11 months of modification and some 20 function improvements on the app,it has changed its name to Zhejiang mobile micro court and broadened its services to the whole province.

An official in Ningbo Intermediate Court said more than 90 percent of civil and commercial cases in Zhejiang province can be accepted by Zhejiang mobile micro court. As of the end of August, statistics show that the court has completed more than 1000 cases and organized more than six thousand sessions including pretrial conferences, open court session and inquiries.

The court is gaining popularity among locals in Zhejiang province due to its convenience.People can either log on Wechat,China's social media app,to search it from the "little programs"or install it from the app store right away.Once a case is filed on the app, interested parties can communicate directly to the judge by sending messages and upload supportive evidence on the app. The case will be closed only by signing signatures from both parties on the phone.

The court app has also applied facial recognition technology to identify the plaintiff and the defendant.
