A Jinhua man, in Zhejiang province in eastern China, said he will sue a senior man for wrongfully blaming him for his fall from an electric bicycle.

Beijing News reports that the young man was riding an electric bicycle at noon on September 2, 2018 when he heard the sound of a falling bicycle behind him.

He allegedly went on to assist the man, who was already up on his feet, and lifted the fallen electric bicycle.

However, when the traffic officers arrived at the scene the senior man claimed that he was knocked down by the young man.

Local traffic authorities were able to confirm through video footage from a nearby surveillance camera that the young man was not responsible for the senior man's fall.

The senior man's son defended his father saying he was just making reasonable suspicions and he was willing to apologize and compensate him.

The young man has refused to accept the apology and compensation. He told Beijing News that he insisted on suing because he had been under stress for days and he did not want other people like him to face the same situation again.

He is seeking just one yuan (0.15 USD) in compensation and demands a public apology, said the young man.
