First Chinese elected to International Anti-Corruption Academy board

The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) voted for the new board of governors at its seventh assembly of parties in Vienna, Austria.

Chinese anti-corruption expert Guo Yong was elected to the board, the first time for a Chinese expert.

Guo is currently the deputy secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Tsinghua University (THU), and the director of the research center for anti-corruption and governance of THU.

The board, consisting of eleven people, will serve until 2021.

Based in Laxenburg, Austria, the IACA is an international organization that teaches government officials, organization leaders and other professionals about anti-corruption measures.

More than 270 international delegates including government ministers attended the assembly this year.
