The vessel is designed to help orbiting satellites with their navigation alignments.
This mission will help align the Beidou-3 Satellite control parameters.
The scientific and research crew had to give up their Mid-Autumn Festival and National Holiday to do the preparation work and sail to the Pacific.
Zhu Wenbo, a CPC official onboard the "Yuan Wang 3," says their mission is meant to be a "birthday for the motherland."
