Fourth rehearsal of 2019 Spring Festival Gala completed

Among the most anticipated programs, cross talk and comedic skits telling tales of everyday Chinese people center around social topics to track the social development.

Famed actor Ge You is taking to the stage at this year's Spring Festival Gala for the first time, joining Cai Ming and Pan Changjiang in skits.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, the gala this year is also going to include a number of patriotic songs by famous singers.

Promising young actors including Li Yifeng, Zhu Yilong and Deng Lun also appeared in the rehearsal.

The gala, one of the most-watched TV events in the country, will be aired live on Lunar New Year's eve on February 4.
